    1. It is the Parus major. In Dutch they’re called ‘koolmees’, in English The Great Tit. They are rather common throughout Europe. A similar bird – though a bit smaller – is the Cyanistes caeruleus, or ‘pimpelmees’, Blue Tit in English, but their heads are blue in stead of black.
      Both are very agile creatures, and it’s a joy to watch them bickering over food.
